Blacksmith Productions is a production company based out of Fort Collins Colorado. Blacksmith specializes in high angle adventure filming with an innovative approach to all areas of production, largely focusing on an extremely high quality product, while keeping environmental stewardship at the forefront of their values.

Blacksmith Productions was created by Ellis Smith, a Colorado State University graduate, committed to creating adventure documentaries, promotional videos and broadcast programming in a fresh and innovative manner that supports a sustainable network of businesses as well as supporting environmental stewardship. Ellis’s largest achievements have been producing the releases of the critically acclaimed Skiing and Snowboarding Videos, “Shralptown” and the follow-up “Return to Schralptown”.

According to Ellis, “I started Blacksmith Productions because I saw a need for change when it comes to shooting and capturing action sports. It seems that today’s action sports productions do not appeal to all markets. They solely target the core of the market, leaving a lot of room for growth to be missed. I want to not only show you how amazing some of these action sports are, but I want to let you inside the minds of these athletes so that the audience can relate more to them. In essence, by telling more of a story I can appeal to larger audiences/markets which in turn spread the message farther and will influence others to join these sports.”
